I was first drawn to this work after giving birth to my first son in 1999 where I realized the importance of emotional support right from the start. Over the following 9 years I assisted at my son's pre-school working with children ages 2-5 years of age. Learning so much from monthly education classes which entailed listening to and learning from experts on topics such as children's development, well being, and growth. From my time there, I discovered the necessity of nurturing both parent and child, bringing me to train with DONA International. I became a postpartum doula because I feel passionate about nonjudgmental support and care for families after childbirth. The first few weeks following the birth of a child can be an exciting but overwhelming time for new parents. I take great joy in watching parents become confident in their new role! It's an honor to be part of such a special time in a families life!

New babies bring many changes into a home. It is a time of transition, adjustments and lots of figuring things out. My role as nighttime postpartum doula allows me to help families settle into a new rhythm at this challenging but joyful time by providing support tailored to the unique needs of your family. My goal is to
help smooth this transition by supporting mom and dad both emotionally and practically, while giving them confidence that everything
will be ok (because it will be!). Lots of listening without judgment, gentle advice/suggestions as appropriate to ease into new roles.
My night-time presence allows parents to get sleep so they are prepared for the day ahead.
I understand the joy and anxiety motherhood can bring. Proudly serving families for
since 2012 in SF, Marin and Peninsula. CPD, CLE, CPR certified, Trustline registered, Safe Sleeping Practice certified.
It would be my privilege to chat or meet to discuss your needs.

I started my journey in childcare back in 1998 caring for newborns as a nanny. After having my own children, my continued love of working with newborns and parents led me to become a DONA certified Postpartum Doula in 2009 working with singletons and specializing in twins. I decided to further my education and obtained a degree in obstetric nursing and became certified in both lactation consulting
and sleep consulting.
I have a calm, gentle, supportive demeanor which is invaluable for my clients as they make the exciting (and often daunting!) transition into parenthood. I use empathy as well as therapeutic communication and strategies in order to help families navigate post-birth complications if they arise. I give non-judgmental support based on years of experience and training in order to ensure the physical and emotional recovery and wellbeing of moms and babies. My goal is to leave parents confident in taking on their babies’
development and to ensure the continuation of healthy sleep habits. I truly enjoy working with each unique family!
